FAQs
Is darrenpalmer.com Darren Palmer's official store?
Yes. Darren Palmer Home was founded by Darren Palmer and this site is the official home of his ranges: rugs, wall art, cushions and candles, each designed by Darren. The ranges are also stocked by Australian retailers, and buying here means every product page carries Darren's own guidance on choosing and placing the piece.
Who is Darren Palmer?
Darren Palmer is an Australian interior designer, a judge on The Block since 2013, co-host of 1 Euro House and Home of the Century, host of the Almost Home podcast, and the author of Easy Luxury and Homespace. He designs every range sold here.
Where do you deliver?
Within Australia only, from our warehouses in Queensland and New South Wales.
How much is shipping?
Rugs and runners are a flat $39.95 each, Australia wide. Candles are $12.95, free on candle orders over $100. Cushions are $12.95, free on cushion orders over $150. Art is calculated at checkout on the size and weight of each piece, so you see the exact figure before you pay.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days, and delivery typically takes 3 to 7 business days once dispatched, with tracking provided. Some remote areas can take longer.
Can a rug be delivered to a PO Box?
No. Rugs travel as bulky freight and are delivered to street addresses only.
Do you offer Afterpay?
Yes. Afterpay is available at checkout on eligible orders, splitting the purchase into four interest-free payments. Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Shop Pay and the major cards are there too.
What size rug do I need?
Every rug page carries Darren's size and placement guide, sizes matched to real rooms. The short version: keep at least the front legs of every major seat on the rug, and when you're torn between two sizes, take the larger, because most rooms are wearing a rug that's too small.
What are the rugs made from?
The current rug collection is power loomed in Turkey with a polyester pile. An anti-slip pad underneath keeps the rug in place and helps it wear well.
How do I care for my rug?
Vacuum regularly without a beater bar, blot spills promptly rather than rubbing them in, and rotate the rug once or twice a year so it wears evenly.
What is your returns policy?
If a piece arrives faulty or not as described, we will repair, replace or refund it in line with Australian Consumer Law, and the return freight is on us. For a change of mind, get in touch through the contact page and we will work through the options with you.
What is the Masterseries?
Darren's accredited online interior design course, created in partnership with The Interior Design Institute. The Masterseries page has the detail.
